How To Write Badly Well

A literary comedy show based on the popular blog of the same name, How To Write Badly Well premiered at the Homework Literary Cabaret night in London before touring theatres and festivals including Latitude and the Lowdham Book Festival.

In 40 minutes of almost insultingly bad advice, writer and performer Joel Stickley walks his audience through all the skills they need to be a terrible writer - mixing metaphors, putting holes in plots and creating characters so unbelievable that they begin to doubt their own existence.

The original performance of the show at the Homework Literary Cabaret is available to watch on YouTube. The show is still touring on request - to make an enquiry, please email
